A cultural institution in the Illawarra since 1972, Wollongong Conservatorium of Music had grown far beyond its origins as a music school — encompassing ensembles, community programs, music therapy, early years education and an ever-expanding events calendar - without a visual identity to match. The brief arrived in their 50th year: a full rebrand and site redevelopment that could hold the full breadth of what WollCon had become while honouring where it came from. The new identity strikes a deliberate balance between the exceptional, the accessible and the eccentric, rolled out across a website built to accommodate an organisation with a genuinely sprawling program offer and a community that keeps growing with it.
